As any electronic device, hearing aids require care and maintenance.
Some useful maintenance tips are as follows:
Use a soft cloth to clean the hearing aid before you put it on your ears
Make sure your ears are free of ear wax, otherwise the wax tends to block the outlet of sound of the hearing aid
Use dry kits or electric dehumidifiers as often as possible to avoid corrosion of the insides of the hearing aids due to humidity
When not in use, it is advisable to remove the batteries from the hearing aids
Make sure that your hearing aids go in for servicing at least once or twice a year
