Covid-19 Update: We are fully operational and have taken every precaution we can to provide a safe environment for our clients and staff.
Some simple steps that can help you to keep a check on ear and hearing health are listed below:
Clean your ears regularly: One can make sure that there isn’t excessive accumulation of ear wax by visiting an audiologist or an ENT. If need be, a specialist can clean your ears. Do not use any object or ear buds or Q-tips to clean your ears.
Regular hearing testing: One should get their hearing tested at least once a year like any other medical evaluation. As hearing loss is a hidden entity, one does not realize that his or her hearing is falling in the early stages. The earlier the hearing loss is detected the better!
Protect your hearing: As long-standing exposure to high levels of noise or short sudden blasts of noise can cause permanent hearing loss, one should use ear protection devices to protect their ears.
Avoid recreational risks: Certain recreational activities such as listening to loud music, riding a loud noise making vehicle, using power tools or hunting can damage ones hearing over time. Wearing ear protection devices or taking breaks from the noise can protect your ears.
